Nonno laughs heartily and wraps Andra into a hug, his default greeting. “No need to be so formal! Just call me nonno like everyone else, si?” He beams brightly as he realises her from his very toned and muscular arms. He then pats her shoulder, thankfully not too hard or her toothpicks for legs would collapse right under the foce. “Make yourself at home. I’ll be cooking dinner at 6, so make sure to stay long enough to eat your share.” He then returns to his chair and flashes one more smile before picking his book back up. I sigh and walk to the kitchen, more or less dragging Andra behind me to escape nonno. My stomach growls angrily as I watch Feliciano flit around the kitchen, preparing delicious snacks for everyone.
A soft yelp of surprise escapes as he suddenly pulls me into a hug and I shyly return it, finding it quite nice actually. At the back of my mind I can’t help but wonder when the last time my father actually hugged me. “Ah, o-okay … n-nonno …” I reply with a small smile before he releases me. Then I nod. “A-alright, th-thank you.” I say before going to the kitchen with Lovino. “H-He seems nice~” I comment before watching Feliciano dart about, getting some food ready. I grin at hearing Lovino’s stomach growl but then give both the brothers a thankful and warm smile. “Thank you both for accepting me into your home and for being my friends~” I tell them.
I roll my eyes at Andra’s comment abut nonno as I begin to eat whatever is in reach after plopping down on my usual stool at the counter. Feliciano giggles and sits beside me on his usual stool and nods. “Si~ Nonno is very nice~ Just don’t make him angry or you might not wake up in the morning~” He giggles and innocently nibbles on some food. I give him a look and pat the stool next to me for Andra. I manage to mumble a no problem around my mouthfull of food and return to eating and chewing happily. Blessed refief emminates from my stomach as it finally gets what it wants.
